Medicine department of SNIMS conducted a Diabetes day camp on 14th Nov. 2009 (World Diabetes Day) at SNIMS. The camp was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. V K. Lakshmanakumar and vote of thanks by Dr. Kunjamma, HOD Medicine. Dr. Philip Thomas gave a Diabetes awareness class and 410 patients attended the camp.

The Inter Collegiate Medico youth festival

The Inter Collegiate Medico youth festival (Kerala Medicos Youth Festival 2010) of all Medical Colleges of Kerala was conducted at Co-operative Medical College, Pariyaram, Kannur from 7th to 10th March. 40 nos. of students of SNIMS participated in various items of the function. Objectives & function of Anti Ragging Committee (ARC) will be to monitor the anti ragging activity of the Institution, consider the recommendation of the Anti Ragging Squad and take appropriate decisions including spelling out suitable punishment to those found guilty.

Seminar/ Class of Anti Ragging

The Anti Ragging campaign in association with Taluk Legal Service Committee, Paravur was conducted in SNIMS on 24.02.2010. The program was conducted as per the schedule mentioned in the attached program leaflet. In their lectures, Alwaye DySP Mr. Vijayan and Adv. P.A. Ayub Khan highlighted the consequences of ragging. Everyone present expressed satisfaction and pleasure at not having any ragging incident in our institution. The campaign provided valuable information to the faculty members regarding the precautions to be taken to avoid ragging incidents. The students were cautioned about the risk they would be taking if found accused of ragging.
